With the depressing dismal storms and flooding we’ve been having in the UK will make many Brits seriously think about migrating to sunny Spain. Why Spain? Well, despite Spain’s recent economic problems, Spain is the healthiest place to live in Europe and possibly the world according to the medical journal Lancet, with an average of 70.9 years of healthy living, and a life expectancy of 81.4 years. The data for this study was collected over a 20 year period.

Not only do they live longer in Spain than us in the UK, they have more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in the World, have great food and culture, have brilliant football teams (i’m a Manchester United fan so it pains me to say – Barcelona and Real madrid are leagues ahead of us at the moment) and guess what? It’s cheaper to live in Spain than the UK!!!

According to the World Health Organisation, Javea (Costa Blanca region of Spain) has one of the healthiest climates in the World – there are more recorded hours of sunshine per year in Javea than any other place in Spain.
