After a 4 hour flight from London, we step off the plane at Paphos airport and the heat hits us. It aways amazes me the difference in climate that 2,000 miles south can make. Shame we can’t move the UK next to Cyprus. You can see why so many expats move here!

We hired a car from the airport as we like to travel around the island and explore. We stayed in Coral Bay in a private villa booked via prestigebookings.com who I’d highly recommend for a private villa in the Coral Bay area. Our boys loved the private swimming pool and jacuzzi so much we spent a lot of time there – most days in fact and went out late afternoon/evening exploring as the temperature cooled down.  Some days it was well into the 90’s.

Highlights of our family holiday in Coral Bay included exploring the nearby Sea Caves – if you are here then you must check out Oniro by the sea for great food and drink along with amazing views of the sea caves and a shipwreck, the sunsets here are stunning. Talking of sunsets, not far from here is See You Beach Bar  which is a must stop for evening cocktails, live jazz and stunning sunsets.

Here are photographs that tell the story of our summer family holiday week stay in Coral Bay, Cyprus…
