The last few nights of our memorable 3 weeks family road trip around California we spent at Hermosa Beach, L.A. The accommodation we stayed in a family ocean front room at Beach House Hotel Hermosa Beach, a beautiful boutique hotel boasting an enviable position on the beachfront of Hermosa Beach. With miles of white sandy beaches, sunsets, surf, volleyball, dining, nightlife and great surf shops, we loved everything about our stay at Hermosa Beach and this amazing hotel.
Located just 15 minutes from LAX and nestled in sunny Hermosa Beach, walking distance to Pier Ave and the Hermosa Pier, home to abundant restaurants and shops. Beach House was the perfect family break.
The family ocean front room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with breathtaking Pacific Ocean views from both the living room and bedroom areas.
Our room had a large pull out sofa bed for our boys and easily the most comfortable and biggest king size bed of our whole trip around California. The room also had a lovely fireplace along with an ideal kitchen area with coffee machine and complimentary high speed internet.
The complimentary continental breakfast was perfect, especially loved the fresh coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and pastries.
Waking up to the sound of the pacific waves crashing was hard to leave, we could have stayed forever. The balcony was the perfect spot anytime of the day to watch the world go by along the world famous 26 mile coastal path known as The Strand. We watched the surfers, runners, volleyball players and wildlife from our room, amazing!

One morning we sat in bed having coffee and spotted dolphins (see on the video above) towards the end of the pier. Hermosa Beach area has some brilliant shops including surf shops, a huge amount of choice in restaurants and food and some great coffee shops too. A short trip down the road is The Point which is a cool place to shop or grab something to eat.
